Investec Loyal winner of line honours in the Sydney to Hobart 2011
After placing fourth in Australia's biggest and toughest sailing race in 2009, the Investec Loyal 100 foot supermaxi was hungry for more. Pulling together a bigger and better crew, Investec Loyal battled the high seas again on 26 December 2010 to place second in the Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race.
On 26 December 2011, the Investec Loyals crew went back into the Sydney to Hobart yacht race, this time winning the line honours in this prestigious event.
The Rolex Sydney to Hobart attracts up to 100 vessels and is more than just sailing a yacht down the east coast of Australia. It represents a challenge to all those involved, team work, commitment, facing one’s fears and depending on your mates when times get tough.
