On 4 September 2006 the group implemented a 5:1 share split of Investec plc and Investec Limited shares. At that date there were 602.7 million shares in issue compared to 120.5 million previously.

 **Please note that the current shares in issue reflect the TOTAL shares in issue for the combined group, i.e. Investec Limited and Investec plc. For market capitalisation purposes, the Johannesburg Stock Exchange includes the full 740.9 million shares in issue whereas the London Stock Exchange includes only the Investec plc shares in issue, i.e. 471.1 million.
