Emerging Markets

The IIB Emerging Markets team, “IIB Emerging Markets”, focuses on Corporate Finance within emerging markets, mainly Africa and India.

IIB Emerging Markets team strives to form a bridge between the strong presence of Investec in South Africa and its business in the UK. In addition, the team advises both geographies on other emerging markets, such as India.

Traditionally the team has focused most of its activities on the cross-border opportunities between the South African and UK markets, and latterly it has been expanding into Africa.

This incorporates advising companies pursuing opportunities from within Africa into the UK, from the UK into Africa, and pan-African transactions.

The Emerging Markets team is not sector-focused and is well positioned to leverage off the client base of Investec both in the UK and South Africa.
