Answers for the Entrepreneurial Class
We think, connect and operate alongside our clients in unusual ways. You are the entrepreneurial class and we share a common goal: Whatever we create, it won’t be ordinary.
We’ve developed a real affinity with the entrepreneurial class and our six areas of specialisation place us right at the heart of this unique business community.
Just like you, we are well networked in the market and share the same dynamic mindset.
You’ll find that we create an environment that helps make things happen: propelled by a successful track record and market-leading expertise.
We recognise the rare abilities of the entrepreneur. And we hope you’ll see them in us too.
A partner to create and manage your wealth
We’re aware that you need a partner to create your wealth as much as you need a partner to manage it. Our specialist teams are well positioned to provide entrepreneurs with services that satisfy their sophisticated, individual and increasingly demanding needs - both in your personal and business life.
We’re committed to supporting successful entrepreneurs by staying close to the issues relevant to you and by being actively involved in the community.
Entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of any economy and the drivers of innovation. The Investec Entrepreneur Confidence Index in association with Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO) tracks the views of some of the United Kingdom’s leading entrepreneurs on the changing local economic environment.
In December 2009, 71 successful entrepreneurs with meaningful interests in medium sized businesses in the UK, including a mix of our clients and EO members, took part in the first Investec Entrepreneur Confidence Index survey. The research will be conducted every four months and will be led by Dr Sally Ernst, President of EO UK with a Doctorate and MBA in Entrepreneurship.
On 3 February 2010, 7 prominent figures in the entrepreneurial community gathered to debate the recent findings of the Investec Entrepreneur Confidence Index and discuss the current economic environment. The panel will meet every four months to bring key topical issues affecting entrepreneurs to the top of the agenda, and included Paul Wilkinson, Michael Conway, Keith Curran, Bill Liao, James Layfield, Robin Smith and Peter Selkirk.

Throughout 2010 we’re hosting a series of Entrepreneurs’ Breakfast Roundtable Discussions aimed at the successful ‘mid-market’ entrepreneur. These small, exclusive gatherings present a great opportunity for peers to get together to discuss issues and share relevant experiences in a confidential environment. Guests are drawn from a cross section of industries and are encouraged to raise issues they think relevant for discussion.
The Investec Entrepreneurs’ Summit 2010 in association with Real Business and the CBI will take place on 12 May 2010 and will look at how entrepreneurs and owner-managers will have to explore new models, new markets and adapt to new customer behaviours in the post-recession economy.
Guest speakers include: Will King, CEO, King of Shaves; Financial Times economics editor Chris Giles; serial entrepreneur Karen Darby; Rohan Blacker and Pat Reeves, founders, Sofa.com.
