Investec supports Elena Dementieva

We supported Elena Dementieva in the 2008 Wimbledon tournament as well as the Australian Open in January 2009. Elena is a Russian tennis player who turned professional in 1998. Currently playing the best tennis of her career, she is ranked in the top 10 in the women’s singles world rankings.


 

Elena made it to the semi-finals of Wimbledon when she was knocked out by Venus Williams 6-1, 7-6. In the Australian Open, she again made it to the semi-finals, where she was knocked out by Serena Williams 6-3, 6-4.
