The Investec High 5 Account always pays the average of the five highest savings rates published on the Moneyfacts website across the categories of no notice accounts, notice accounts, internet accounts, monthly interest accounts, introductory bonus accounts and over 50s accounts. Moneyfacts is an independent and impartial source of information and their selection charts can be seen throughout the UK national press and media.
The rates for the High 5 Account in 2010, and the five highest savings rates from which the High 5 Account's rate was calculated for that period, can be found below. Please click on the tabs to see the rates for previous years.
The interest rates shown below are ‘gross’ rates with the exception of Investec High 5 Account which is ‘gross AER’. 'AER' stands for the Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once a year. ‘Gross’ is the interest rate paid before the deduction of tax.
