How do we calculate the rate?

  • The Investec High 5 Account always pays you the average of the five highest savings rates published on the Moneyfacts2 website

  • The High 5 rate is updated on a weekly basis - the latest rate and component accounts can be seen in the table below

  • You can rest assured that the rate you are earning is amongst the highest available, week-in and week-out

  • This is a three month notice account.

  • The minimum balance required to open and operate the account is £25,000. Balances below this minimum will not earn interest

  • Interest on qualifying balances will be calculated daily and credited to your account monthly or annually. We can also remit your interest to another account in your name with any UK bank or building society without charge

1 The High 5 rate shown above is correct as at 17.3.2010 and subject to variation. AER stands for the Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded once a year. ‘Gross’ is the interest rate paid before the deduction of tax.
