Paul has a diverse background in asset based lending. He joined Investec in 2006 from GoIndustry Plc where he was responsible for developing new asset based lending products. He was instrumental in launching their inventory appraisal and due diligence models and has advised various UK/USA banks on complex pan-European transactions involving all assets. Prior to working at GoIndustry Plc, Paul spent six years with The Royal Bank of Scotland Invoice Finance where has was a Relationship Director responsible for the large corporate book in London.
Paul's focus is structuring and executing asset based lending transactions and portfolio management.

James has over 20 years experience in the asset based lending sector. He spent 17 years with Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance where he held various senior roles and was instrumental in driving the increased use of full asset based lending as a debt instrument for M&A and Private Equity transactions. He was also involved in numerous complex, mid-market refinancing transactions. James's focus is on deal origination and execution.

Gary heads up the team. Prior to joining Investec in October 2005 Gary worked at GE. Gary joined GE in 1997 to develop its strategic entry into Commercial Finance in Europe. As Managing Director, he was responsible for starting the successful greenfield UK invoice discounting and asset based lending business in 1998 before his appointment as Chief Operating Officer of GE Commercial Finance Europe. Prior to working at GE, Gary was a Director with Barclays Commercial Services.

Ben joined Investec from BDO Stoy Hayward LLP where he qualified as a chartered accountant having worked in transaction services. He has transaction experience on numerous M&A and Private Equity deals. Ben’s focus is on due diligence and portfolio management.

Viresh is responsible for the ongoing monitoring, maintenance and administration of the team's investments. Having joined the Private Bank in 2007, Viresh joined the Growth and Acquisition Finance division in 2008 having previously worked in the bank's Structured Property Finance team.
Viresh holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics with Business and Management from the University of Manchester.

A qualified chartered accountant, Phil has spent the last 14 years in corporate finance advisory and leveraged finance banking roles.
Having joined RBS Acquisition Finance in Manchester in 1998 he helped set up the mid-market focussed Corporate & Structured Finance business in 2001.
In 2002 he was appointed Regional Director, NW England and in 3 years was responsible for building the North West Corporate & Structured Finance team into the pre-eminent leverage finance banking team in the region, having completed more than 50 transactions with a deal value in excess of £4.3bn.
Subsequently appointed Regional Managing Director, North of England Corporate & Structured Finance.
His plaudits include being voted Banker of the Year (2002/04 and his team Bank of the Year (2002/04).
He joined Deloitte in 2005 as a founder Director of their new Debt Advisory business, which in just over 2 years completed over 30 transactions with in excess of £3bn of debt raised.
He has been involved in executing a wide variety and size of transactions including corporate acquisitions, MBOs, P2Ps, refinancing. Recent transactions include raising the debt funding for the £190m SMBO of Americana, the £783m MBO of Keepmoat, the €315m refinancing of Innovia Films and the £40m SMBO of Direct Group.
Joined Investec Growth & Acquisition Finance (based in Manchester) in May 2008 to set up and build its presence in the regions.
