This risk concious division offers:

Corporate Treasury offers both corporate and commercial clients a direct dealing capability for foreign exchange requirements, short-term international and domestic money market products.

- Offer derivative hedging solutions to clients in the interest rate and foreign exchange environment
- Provide scrip lending services on an agency basis
- Structure and distribute investment products to individuals and institutions
- Manage the bank’s preference share investments

Project and Infrastructure Finance refers to the provision of debt facilities, including underwriting and equity raising, to projects secured primarily or solely against the cash flows such projects generate, typically with limited or no recourse to the corporate credit of the project sponsors. The focus is on healthcare, defense projects, transport and power in the infrastructure, power and industrial sectors.
Commodities and Resource Finance is active in the precious and base metals, minerals, oil, gas and mining services in both emerging and developed markets. Offering across the debt-equity spectrum the team offers:
- Advisory services
- Debt arranging and underwriting
- Structuring
- Hedging solutions
Financial markets activities
Interest Rate Trading
The Interest Rate Trading Desk is an active market maker in all interest rate derivatives whilst offering clients innovative structuring capabilities. The desk comprises of the following areas:
- Interest rate guarantee products
- Forward rate agreements
- Interest rate swaps
- Money market instruments
- Government and certain parastatal bonds
- Interest rate options and repurchase agreements
Foreign Exchange Trading are Market makers in the spot, forward exchange, currency swaps and currency derivatives markets predominantly in ZAR and G7 currencies and certain emerging markets currencies.
Equity Derivatives are the Market makers in:
- Major equity index options
- Certain single stock options
- Equity structured products
- Futures index arbitrage
- Equity warrants
- ETF’s and CFD’s
In addition, the team provides hedging and structuring services to financial intermediaries, institutions and companies.
