We supported the seller and the management throughout the whole process including the identification and approach of international buyers with a strong focus on strategic buyers, the preparation of all documents, data room management, support of the due diligence process and management of the data room, assistance in negotiating the deal and execution of the transaction.<\/p>\n<h2>About the deal<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Pieroth Retail GmbH (PRE)<\/strong> is one of Germany\u2019s leading multichannel wine retail chains with an award-winning online shop (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.vino24.de\">www.vino24.de<\/a>) and 18 stores across the country, offering a range of several hundred wines, delicacies, and wine accessories. The transaction marks an important milestone for both Pieroth Wein AG and Schloss Wachenheim AG. This strategic transaction will support Pieroth Wein AG in its efforts to further focus on its core business activities and at the same time is an ideal addition to the retail business Rindchen\u2019s Weinkontor (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rindchen.de\">www.rindchen.de<\/a>) of Schloss Wachenheim AG. With the acquisition Schloss Wachenheim AG will double its retail capacity, becoming the no. 2 player in the German wine retail market.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pieroth Wein AG<\/strong> is a leading seller of exclusive wines, sparkling wines, and champagnes, high-quality spirits, and juices offering its products in Germany Japan, Great Britain, France, Switzerland and other countries. Founded in 1675 the company had c. 2,400 employees and generated sales of c. \u20ac 230m in 2018.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Schloss Wachenheim AG<\/strong> is one of Europe&#8217;s leading manufacturers and distributors of high-quality sparkling wine and semi-sparkling wine. Among the most well-known brands are Faber in Germany, Charles Volner and Muscador in France, LIGHT live and Robby Bubble in Germany, Cin&amp;Cin, Fresco, and Cydr Lubelski in Poland as well as Zarea and Milcov in Romania.
