First meetings in the UK and in France confirmed the strategic fit between CME and Wirquin. Investec has worked on a daily basis to support Wirquin&#8217;s management from the deal origination up to the closing of the transaction.<\/p>\n<h2>About the deal<\/h2>\n<p>Wirquin is a French company specializing in the design, manufacturing and distribution of sanitary ware for bathrooms (Shower columns and trays), WC (toilet seats, flushing mechanisms, ball valves, cisterns) and drainage applications. Headquartered in Nantes, the group has a worldwide commercial presence and international manufacturing operations (South Africa, Russia, Asia, France). Serving the DIY and OEMs markets as well as merchant retailers, the group targets to grow both its international footprint and product offering.<\/p>\n<p>CME Sanitary Systems is one of the leading UK manufacturers of sanitary with 3 main brands Celmac (toilet seats), MacDee (flushing systems) and Ecoplay (micro greywater recycling system). CME Sanitary Systems was 100% owned by its management team who completed a MBO (spin-off from Polypipe) in January 2008.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What we did After a
