{"id":18842,"date":"2015-06-01T10:25:58","date_gmt":"2015-06-01T08:25:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/staging.capitalmind.com\/?post_type=deals&#038;p=18842"},"modified":"2026-04-13T12:25:15","modified_gmt":"2026-04-13T10:25:15","slug":"restructuring-infraserv-kraftwerks-subsidiary-t2c","status":"publish","type":"deals","link":"https:\/\/www.investec.com\/advisory\/deals\/restructuring-infraserv-kraftwerks-subsidiary-t2c\/","title":{"rendered":"Restructuring of Infraserv Power"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>What we did<\/h2>\n<p>Investec acted as an exclusive financial restructuring advisor to Infraserv H\u00f6chst GmbH &amp; Co KG, a Sanofi SA, Clariant AG and Celanese Inc, subsidiary on the restructuring of \u20ac 350m euros of debt and equity financing for their new built RDF power plant.<\/p>\n<h2>About the deal<\/h2>\n<p>The plant suffered from a significant completion and cost overrun and a breakdown of the market for RDF fuel in Germany.\u00a0 Investec developed a comprehensive restructuring concept, negotiated a standstill and subsequently a restructuring agreement with the lenders and other stakeholders. In the course of the transaction a partial write off of senior debt and mezz incl. minority equity by 3i as well as extensions and changes to the amortization plan and a subordination of parts of debt was achieved.<\/p>\n<p>By right sizing the balance sheet to the company\u2019s debt capacity and matching the payments to the lenders to the company\u2019s cash flows the company was enabled to finish the construction of the plant which today is successfully operating. Ultimately Investec negotiated a debt buy back for their client Infraserv.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What we did Investec acted as an exclusive financial restructuring
