Investec has advised BIC throughout the acquisition process, from preparatory works prior NBO submission to final negotiations with the seller. Investec supported BIC\u2019s internal teams and external advisors to implement this strategic project, assisting on business plan modelling, valuation, deal structuring, internal approval documentation, due diligences monitoring and legal documentation negotiations.<\/p>\n

About the deal<\/h2>\n

Founded in 1973 in France,\u00a0Djeep<\/strong><\/a> is a leading manufacturer of quality lighters. The company distributes over 30 million lighters per year, mostly in Europe, but also in the U.S., Latin America, Middle East, Africa, and Asia. It has become a key supplier of the decorated lighters market thanks to its large tank shape.<\/p>\n

BIC<\/strong><\/a> is a family-owned group listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, and a world leader in stationery, lighters and shavers. For more than 75 years, BIC has honored the tradition of providing high-quality, simple, inventive and reliable choices for everyone, everywhere, every time.
