About the deal<\/h2>\n

Founded in 2014 and managed as a REIT since 2018, Deutsche Industrie REIT-AG invests primarily in light industrial properties (e.g., industrial parks, logistics centres, production facilities, etc.) with good infrastructure links and a regional focus.<\/p>\n

The company’s objective is to generate steady and sustainable earnings growth and to diversify risk through further acquisitions and strategic asset and property management.<\/p>\n

The REIT has been listed on the Berlin Stock Exchange since December 2017, also listed in the Prime Standard of Deutsche Boerse AG.<\/p>\n

As of September 2021, the real estate portfolio comprises 89 properties with a commercial area of 1.58 million m\u00b2 and a portfolio value of EUR 789 million.<\/p>\n

The business park in Remscheid comprises of an area of 42.6k m\u00b2 and 192 commercial units. Tenants are companies from the mechanical engineering, specialized retail and logistics sectors.<\/p>\n

The inflow will be used for general corporate purposes and to financing investments in the business park Remscheid.<\/p>\n

Investec supported the management throughout the whole transaction and ensured an efficient process to completion.<\/p>\n

What we did<\/h2>\n

Investec advised the company’s management board on structuring the financing, identified potential financing partners and coordinated the entire financing process. In addition, we actively supported Deutsche Industrie REIT-AG in the preparation of the necessary documents.
