The group, founded in 1936, was owned by the Ceccon family. The family decided to sell the group through a process organized by Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale.<\/p>\n<p>Basaltes is a French family-owned quarrier group with 100 sites, quarries and platforms through 5 subsidiaries including Ceccon Fr\u00e8res. The group employs 450 people and produces 12mt of aggregates per year and generates c.\u20ac150m revenues.<\/p>\n<p>Through this acquisition, Basaltes strengthens its position as the leading independent quarrier group in France with a presence in a 5th region.<\/p>\n<h2>What we did<\/h2>\n<p>Investec advised Basaltes on the acquisition of Ceccon Fr\u00e8res, providing critical analysis of
