The company specialized in the design and production of corrugated board for niche markets. It benefits from a leading European position on clinical waste packaging, as well as strong positions on special and hazardous waste collection packaging, foam boxes and e-commerce packaging. Covering the entire value chain, from design, production to sales, Cartosp\u00e9 Packaging offers its customers a wide range of turnkey solutions combined with a high level of service. It generated almost \u20ac17m in revenues in 2022 and employs 40 employees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After opening its capital to Naxicap Partners and Caisse d&#8217;Epargne Hauts-de-France Capital in 2019 as part of an OBO, the new deal, advised by Investec, was completed though a management buy-in led by Eric Gheysens and sponsored by Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale Capital Partenaires and Capelia. Eric Gheysens has over 20 years&#8217; experience in the packaging industry, and runs EGL (EMBALLAGES GHEYSENS &#8211; La Liane), a company specializing in corrugated converting and associated services, which he is contributing to the newly-formed Emballages Gheysens Group. The deal enables the exit of Naxicap Partners, Caisse d\u2019Epargne Hauts-de-France Capital and Christophe Bodart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-we-did\">What we did<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Investec assisted the shareholders of Cartosp\u00e9 Packaging during the whole sell-side process: shaping the transaction strategy, qualifying counterparts most likely to value &amp; develop the company, preparing marketing materials and business plan together with the management, setting up a competitive process and leading the negotiation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><em>Investec quickly understood the group&#8217;s activities and was able to highlight the company&#8217;s strengths.
