Investec has advised Tournaire Group <\/strong>(a Motion Equity Partners portfolio company) on the disposal of Tournaire Plastic to Ipackchem <\/strong>(an SK Capital portfolio company).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Founded in 1833 in Grasse (France), Tournaire Group is a leader in high-performance industrial packaging to sample, store & transport high-value-added materials (ingredients & active ingredients, solvents, aromas, essential oils). Historically family-owned, the group has been partnering with Motion Equity Partner since September 2022 to accelerate its growth journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As part of its renewed ambition & ownership, Tournaire Group was willing to find a new owner for its non core plastic business unit (Tournaire Plastic) to focus efforts on high-performance aluminum packaging. Tournaire Plastic is a manufacturer of coextruded barrier packaging serving multinational customers, primarily in Europe, across crop protection, specialty chemicals and food ingredients end markets, operating a high quality and food-grade certified facility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Investec supported Motion Equity Partners and Tournaire\u2019s management team throughout the transaction process: preparing the asset for sale (including assistance in the preparation of the carve out of the plastic business, and assistance in building a mitigation plan for transaction anticipated road bumps to facilitate deal execution), soft presounding of potential buyers\u2019 interest ahead of the process, active support during due diligence phase to enable Ipackchem to swiftly firm up its preliminary interest, assistance during final negotiations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ipackchem is a leading global supplier of innovative and specialized barrier packaging solutions that currently employs ~1,050 people and serves ~ 1,200 customers in 35 countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This project enriches Investec\u2019s track-record in industrial packaging.
