Investec has advised Speer IT on the carve-out of KLIC software from The People Group, a portfolio company of Antea Participaties.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

About the deal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Speer IT, an asset management software firm based in Baarn, has acquired KLIC software and associated services from The People Group. Founded in 1999, Speer IT has grown into one of the Netherlands\u2019 leading providers of fiber optic registration and asset management software. The firm employs over 40 professionals and serves major international telecom clients with digital solutions for regulatory, asset information, and operational coordination needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a strategic evaluation, Speer IT decided to acquire KLIC software, which closely aligns with its existing offering and expands its infrastructure and utility data solutions. The transaction strengthens Speer IT\u2019s position in automated regulatory reporting and underground asset information services, supporting further growth of its digital capabilities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This carve-out provides Speer IT with access to an extensive network of fiber operators across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, Finland, and Ireland. The transaction also builds on the long-standing collaboration between Speer IT and The People Group through the alignment of the GSD-suite and Cocon Fiber, enabling automation in the design and uploading of infrastructure networks. In addition, The People Group becomes a certified Cocon engineer.<\/p>\n\n\n
