{"id":57066,"date":"2025-10-16T12:14:00","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T10:14:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/editing.capitalmind.com\/?post_type=deals&#038;p=57066"},"modified":"2026-03-18T09:30:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T08:30:00","slug":"acquisition-by-premier-group-of-rfg","status":"publish","type":"deals","link":"https:\/\/www.investec.com\/advisory\/deals\/acquisition-by-premier-group-of-rfg\/","title":{"rendered":"Acquisition by Premier Group Limited of RFG Holdings Limited"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Investec has advised Premier Group Limited on its proposed acquisition of RFG Holdings Limited through a share exchange and the delisting of RFG<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">About the deal<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Investec advised Premier Group Limited (\u201cPremier\u201d) on its proposed acquisition of RFG Holdings (\u201cRFG\u201d) through a share exchange, resulting in RFG shareholders collectively owning approximately 22.5% of the enlarged Premier Group and the delisting of RFG.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This strategic transaction will enhance Premier\u2019s position in the South African FMCG sector, enabling the group to leverage RFG\u2019s complementary strengths in convenience meal solutions and well-established brands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transaction presents an opportunity for both RFG and Premier shareholders to participate in the growth of the enlarged group which would generate annual revenue of almost R28 billion (around \u20ac1.45 billion) and profit after tax of R1.7 billion (around \u20ac88M).
