Deposit interest rates

Investec Wealth & Investment (CI)

In accordance with our current rate card, money in your portfolio will be held in a Pooled Client Money Account along with monies held on behalf of other clients. We will use a managed rate to calculate your interest and may at our discretion apply zero interest. Current Interest rates for Sterling (GBP) are displayed below.

WITH EFFECT FROM 6th February 2025

The following rates of interest apply to Sterling cash deposit balances held in each account individually:

£0-£249,999.99: 2.00%

£250,000 and above: 2.25%

This rate of interest is payable on the full cash deposit balance held within the relevant account and not just the portion of the balance over £250,000.

Non-Sterling deposits

Non-Sterling balances in your portfolio will be held in Pooled Client Money Account along with monies held on behalf of other clients. We will use a managed rate to calculate your interest and may at our discretion apply zero or negative interest. Currently we apply interest on the following currencies:

1.30%

US Dollars (effective 19th December 2024)

0.75%

Euros (effective 5th February 2025)

4.35%

South African Rands (effective 3rd February 2025)

All other Non-Sterling balances currently have an interest rate of zero.
