About me

I specialise in working with financial advisers, helping to deliver tailored investment solutions to their clients. When taking on a new client, this requires a detailed discussion with the adviser to gain a clear understanding of the client's circumstances and needs, coupled with in-depth analysis of the costs, performance and risk characteristics of any existing investments. We then deliver bespoke, actively managed portfolios, which are tax-efficiently constructed across the various investment wrappers that the client has available, and focused on delivering strong risk-adjusted returns.

Background/Experience

I started my career as a stockbroker during the late 1990's tech boom. Seeking a more stable environment, I joined Investec in early 2000, working initially in the unit trust division before joining the investment management team in 2002.  I have since built a brilliant team of investment and administrative professionals over my tenure at Investec and we are focused on delivering great service as well as great performance. I am a Chartered Wealth Manager, Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and Associate of the Personal Finance Society. However, I'm a firm believer that you learn something new every day and keep my skills honed by reading widely about economies, markets and behavioural finance.

My interests

I have always loved good food and enjoy eating out and cooking for my family on weekends. I am also extremely house proud and spend a lot of time on DIY and gardening projects to keep it looking great. I really enjoy travelling to new places and have an extensive 'bucket list' of countries to visit in the coming years. I also like to keep fit and active, at the gym or on a ski slope preferably.
