About me

I manage a variety of discretionary portfolios on behalf of private individuals, charities, trusts, financial advisers and other intermediaries. In addition, I am a member of the Collectives Committee within Investec’s Investment & Research Office which oversees the fund selection for the firm. I have a background in absolute return and have a keen interest in global macro hedge funds and alternative investments.

Background/Experience

I started my career in Investment in 2010 at Ruffer LLP, London. I spent seven years at Ruffer, becoming an Investment Manager in 2014, managing multi-asset absolute return portfolios for charity, pension fund and private clients. I specialised in institutional charities and was a senior member of the charities team which managed over £1.5bn of assets and a Common Investment Fund. I spent the last two years prior to joining Investec as an Investment Analyst, specialising in fund research and strategic asset allocation, curating the buy-list for a suite of open ended funds at Baggette Asset Management, and more recently for advisory mandates at Atkins Bland. I was a voting member of the investment committee at both firms. I was appointed to Investec's National Collectives Committee in 2023, which oversees the fund selection for all Investec portfolios. I am a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments having been awarded the CISI Masters in Wealth Management in 2012. I attained the Investment Management Certificate from the CFA institute in 2011 and have an MSc in Finance from the University of St Andrews and a BSc in Economics from the University of Southampton.
