About me
As an Investment Management Director, my priority is to help my clients achieve their financial goals. By understanding their current position, attitude to risk, financial requirements and investment objectives, I help them to build a tailored investment portfolio that suits their present and future needs.
My pride and commitment to high-quality service is supported and well-resourced by my team of dedicated investment and administrative professionals.
I specialise as a Discretionary Fund Manager (DFM), often working alongside Independent Financial Advisers in order to ensure the best possible outcome for clients. I provide bespoke, tax efficient DFM services for a number of private individuals, trusts, pension schemes, corporate company accounts & registered charities.
Background/Experience
With well over a decade of experience in financial services, I have built up a strong professional network and have formed close relationships with all my clients.
Before joining the Manchester Investment Management team in 2011, I held positions based in both Investec’s Liverpool and Leeds offices as a Discretionary Fund Manager and Stock Researcher where I built my knowledge and expertise in portfolio construction and delivering robust investment solutions.
I am committed to helping others succeed financially and challenge myself to keep learning. Since 2015 I have been a member of the Investec Intermediary Services Committee, taking responsibility for the ongoing development of how the company works with intermediary businesses and advisor firms across the country.
Financial qualifications include:
- Masters in Wealth Management
- Securities and Investments Diploma
- The Investment Management Certificate
I am also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered MCSI) and continue to attend regular CISI regional events.
My interests
Outside of work I am a keen cyclist and charity fund raiser, helping raise over half a million pound for various charities since 2013. Fundraising has included participation in two nationwide cycle challenges with members of the England Cricket Team in aid of the Lord’s Taverner’s Children’s Charity. I have also completed the 2015 & 2017 London Marathon in aid of supporting mental health.
I enjoy almost all high level sport but in particular I am a regular Golfer and passionate supporter & season ticket holder of my local Football Club – I also enjoy spending quality time with friends & my young family.
