About me
My focus is on meeting my clients' objectives, with respect to their risk profiles. It is important to have regard to a client's overall financial position at both personal and family level. I then combine my own experiences with Investec's in-house research resources on markets and stocks, both in the UK and overseas, to create bespoke portfolios to meet my client's requirements. As I look after both international and UK clients, I am used to dealing with a number of different structures including own name, ISAs, SIPPs, personal investment companies, family trusts, onshore and offshore, through utilising our UK, Guernsey and Swiss booking platforms.
Background/Experience
I am a Chartered Accountant and Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI). The main focus of my career has been looking after private clients, but for a period of time I was also involved in management, heading up the London office of Wise Speke and having the role of managing director at Natwest Stockbrokers. I have also been on the Boards of our Trade Association, CREST, the UK Settlement system, and was formerly the Chairman of the London Stock Exchange Private Client Advisory Group. Therefore, I have a wide range of experience in the sector and utilise this in the management of clients' financial affairs.
My interests
Sport of all sorts is a major interest, both playing, watching and keeping up to date with what is going on. Tennis is my main focus in terms of playing and I can regularly be found at our local club in Limpsfield. Golf is a newer interest. I do enjoy meeting friends/clients for lunch or dinner but my most enjoyable time is with the family and in particular playing with my grandchildren.
