About me
My main focus is on building strong, client-centric relationships. I specialise in working with a number of charities, overseeing their investments and relationships, and working closely with Boards to ensure that investments and governance are well-structured. I also work with high net worth private clients and their families, ensuring that investments are diverse, well-structured and tax efficient. To help achieve the client's objectives I draw upon a wide range of knowledge and expertise from within the Liverpool team and the broader Investec group. I also work closely with a range of other professional advisers and trustees to assist them in structuring investments in a diverse and disciplined manner.
Background/Experience
With more than three decades of experience in the industry I have played Group roles within asset allocation, stock sector, collective research and risk management. Having considerable knowledge in the sustainable and ESG areas of investment I also currently sit on the Group Corporate Governance Committee. I am a Chartered Fellow of The Securities Institute (FCSI) and became an individual Member of The London Stock Exchange in 1990. In addition, I also hold a degree in Law from the University of Liverpool.
My interests
I have a significant personal interest in the arts and education. I was Deputy Chair of Edge Hill University and I am currently a Member of Council at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA). For many years I have been responsible for leading the longstanding relationship Investec has with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and I am a passionate advocate of the importance of Liverpool's cultural offering. I am a self-taught musician, primarily a guitarist and have been in a variety of bands. My other interests are predominantly in sport. As a keen cyclist I have completed several Alpine stages of the Tour de France, and I am a lifelong Rugby League fan and Evertonian.
