Whether working with intermediaries and their clients or direct private clients, I strive to ensure that portfolios are managed to the highest possible standard matching clients' risk profiles, objectives and time frames. I have built and manage a team of investment professionals within the Edinburgh office, who are equally qualified and dedicated to ensure that client investment objectives are delivered.
After graduating from high school in Amarillo, Texas, I returned to the UK, gaining a BA (Hons) in Business Studies. I have since held various roles in the financial services industry from 1994, before joining the discretionary management world in 2005. In 2009, I was appointed senior client portfolio manager at Standard Life Wealth, where I was responsible for the management of private client portfolios, trust, charity and pension scheme assets. I later joined Williams De Broë (now Investec) in 2011. The experience and knowledge which I have built over the past two and a half decades has provide me with the expertise to assist financial planners and clients to achieve their financial goals.
My qualifications include:
- CFA (UK) Investment Management Certificate
- Chartered Insurance Institute’s Financial Planning Certificate
- Advanced Financial Planning G10
- Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment’s Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM)
- Being a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
I enjoy spending time with my wife and children. Our favourite past-time is skiing but we also enjoy travelling, hill-walking, cooking and indulging in family meals.
