

About me
I am an Investment Risk Assistant with a focus on Suitability. Suitability ensures that investment decisions made for clients or on behalf of are align with the client’s investment mandate. To ensure suitability of investments, Investec’s suitability monitoring system is used to identify unsuitable portfolios which works to ensure that Investment Managers address suitability issues appropriately. I conduct quality assurance audits to ensure that the suitability exceptions process is being used correctly and efficiently, focussing on what is in the best interests for the client. I provide support to Investment Managers to overcome suitability challenges and address ad hoc queries. Additionally, I produce suitability management information reports which highlight how the suitability system is working for all IM, Teams and Branches.
I work within the Investment Risk team assisting with suitability implementation and monitoring of managed client portfolios. I am involved in carrying out suitability quality assurance audits overseeing the suitability exception process across the firm. Additionally, I am responsible for producing a range of suitability related reports as well as providing support with ad hoc suitability queries from the Investment Managers. Carrying out this function ensures portfolios align with their agreed mandates thus maintaining positive outcomes for clients.
Background/Experience
I joined the Investment risk team after graduating from the University of Surrey having studied BSc Economics and Finance with a year in industry working for Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation's risk management department. I am currently working towards attaining the CISI Investment Advice Diploma.
My interests
I enjoy socialising with friends and family. I am also an avid football fan and I also like to keep fit by running and lifting weights.
