About me

I am part of the research team, with responsibility for our coverage of direct UK equities. Specifically, I cover the travel and leisure, support services, aerospace and defence, utilities and beverages sectors. We look for the most compelling investment opportunities for our clients within the Developed Market listed equity universe. As a team we do this through having sector specialisms, a bottom-up approach to analysis with rigorous due diligence and peer review.

I have an interest in ESG investing, and helped develop our ESG analysis of direct equities. I also Chair Investec's committees responsible for UK Stock Selection and Equity Corporate Governance and I am a member of the International Stock Selection and Investment Committees.

Background/Experience

I have spent my career working in buy side equity research, mainly with Investec but also with a short spell at BNP Paribas. As well as gaining more than two decades of practical experience, I am a CFA Charterholder. I have worked alongside some of the best analysts in our industry, bringing a breadth of experience and analytical techniques. It is a combination of these factors, along with an exceptional wider research team, that helps me deliver consistent and value-added investment recommendations for our investment managers.

My interests

I enjoy virtually all sports, keeping fit through running, rowing and walking with my family and dog in Epping Forest. We also enjoy travelling, particularly visiting family in South Africa.
