Background/Experience

I graduated from York University in 1985 with BSc Hons. in Biology. I joined Sheffield-based stockbroking partnership Nicholson Barber in 1987, becoming a partner in 1998. The firm merged with BWD Rensburg in 1999, which was ultimately acquired by Investec in 2010.

Qualifications

I’m a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

My interests

I have a long-held fascination with helicopters, although sadly they’re out of my price range. I enjoy cycling, and particularly like walking and climbing in the mountains. I’m married with a son and a daughter, and our whole family loves living in the Derbyshire countryside.
