About me
I focus on managing tailored multi-asset portfolios to meet the investment needs of my charity and not-for-profit clients, such as associations and livery companies.
Background/Experience
Since joining Investec in 1995 I have managed unit trusts, pension funds, and international and US equity portfolios. My career started in 1977 at Norwich Union’s investment department, followed by a role in the research and institutional departments of Rowe and Pitman. I joined Buckmaster and Moore (now part of Credit Suisse) in 1981 where I worked as a fund manager, before moving to Investec. Having become a member of the London Stock Exchange in 1984, I’m now a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (Chartered FCSI).
My interests
I am a member of the Investment Committees for The Church in Wales and the Hospital Saturday Fund, and I am Chair of the Investment Committee for the Worshipful Company of Plaisterers. For 19 years I was a trustee, and 10 years a treasurer, of Shaftesbury Young People, a children’s charity. Given the opportunity, I also love to surf.
