About me
As well as managing the Financial Planning department within the Belfast office, I advise clients on their retirement planning opportunities through the use of tax efficient vehicles to encompass personal pensions, SIPPs and drawdown plans. I also advise clients and their families on inheritance tax mitigation strategies to pass wealth down the next generation. By combining my experiences in the areas of retirement and estate planning, I can tailor a bespoke tax and investment portfolio to meet client objectives, and utilise the in-house discretionary fund management services to maximise returns.
Background/Experience
I specialise in the area of pension transfers and I am registered as a specialist adviser with the FCA to give complex advice around final salary and defined benefit options. Clients can be assured of a comprehensive retirement planning service that covers off both the technical advice required around pension legislation, but also the in-house expertise around pension fund management and specifically access to SIPPs. I also have many years of experience in advising upon a broad range of estate planning options where the reduction of inheritance tax and the effective transfer of family wealth to the next generation are a priority.
My interests
I am a keen rugby follower and season ticket holder with Ulster Rugby, and I enjoy the odd game of golf. I also enjoy both cooking and dining out experiences. I love to travel and in particular Italy is a favourite destination.
