Business Development Director
As Business Development Director for the Bournemouth office, I work with professional advisers to achieve the most suitable investment solutions for their clients. In order to do this it is important to get to know both the adviser, their business and how they build relationships with their clients - a personal and high level of service is very important to me, therefore, relationship management is also a key part of my role. My aim is to add value and assist advisers in supporting their clients when making some of the most important financial decisions, for both theirs and their families' future.
I started my financial services career at Abbey Life in 1994 and then moved to Investec in 1997 (previously Williams de Broë/Christows). During my time here I have held a number of roles from administration, training, project management, broker support to sales & marketing/events. This experience has enabled me to have an in-depth understanding of our internal systems/requirements, which in turn has helped me to support both professional advisers and their clients building many strong, long term relationships.
In order to have an even better understanding of Advisers and their clients' needs, I am currently studying toward the CII Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and have recently gained both the CII Certificate in Discretionary Management and Certificate in Securities Advice & Dealing.
Outside of work I enjoy going to yoga, the gym, running (although much prefer obstacle course races!) and skiing holidays. My other passion is old VWs and enjoying weekends away camping with family & friends and helping our friends run their Vintage Nostalgia Festival.
