About me
I’m a founding director of the Birmingham office, with more than 25 years’ experience of managing segregated investment portfolios. During this time, I’ve specialised in building solid personal client relationships through several family generations and professional adviser partnerships. I’m supported by a team which has worked together for over a decade. My previous career within trustee services has given me extensive knowledge of trusts from trustee and investment manager perspectives. My growing charity client base includes educational organisations, religious orders, hospices, industry training councils, and family and general purpose trusts.
Background/Experience
After I graduated in 1983, I joined the trustee division of Lloyds Private Bank in Birmingham. I initially looked after high-net-worth clients there, before moving into private client investment management.
Qualifications
I’m a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (Chartered FCSI) and hold a BA (Hons.) in Economics. I’m also part-qualified towards the Trustee Diploma from Chartered Institute of Bankers.
My interests
As a dedicated follower of football, from grassroots to Champions League, I’ve helped to establish and manage junior football teams who have gone on to win promotion. I class this as no mean feat, given my own limited playing skills! I’m currently enjoying studying the economic and social history of Britain, having discarded history as an option at school. I also support a number of charitable causes.
