Matt Green

About me

My focus is to establish a plan with my clients that works towards achieving their financial goals, through developing a personal and long-term relationship and understanding their current and future financial objectives. I have a passion for investment markets and portfolio construction and I am currently a voting member of Investec's global sector view group and UK stock selection committee. By working closely with Investec’s in-house research team I am able to identify suitable investments for my clients’ tailored investment portfolios. I also work closely with financial planners and other professional advisors to provide the best possible wealth planning and retirement solutions that will deliver for them.

Background/Experience

I have over a decade of experience in financial services and I am a Chartered Wealth Manager (FCSI). After graduating with a First Class degree in Economics and an interest in investment markets, I joined Investec’s Leeds office where I managed an array of discretionary investment portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities and corporates. I then moved to join Barclays Global Private Bank in Canary Wharf, London. A few years later, I returned to Investec this time to the Guildford office to join a very stable and well established team, where I have continued to build my knowledge and expertise in managing bespoke investment portfolios to help meet my clients financial goals.     

My interests

I love spending time with my children and family. When not out on adventures with them, I enjoy cooking, keeping fit and trying to improve my golf swing and tennis serve. At home, I can often be found outside trying to perfect my ‘low and slow’ BBQ cooking.
