I work in a team made up of portfolio managers and support personnel. The core role I undertake is the management of personal investment portfolios, personal pensions (SIPP's) and medium and smaller sized charities. I am also a member of the investment policy committee, chairing this periodically, as this committee is a key element of the asset allocation and construction of client investment portfolios.
I have been working in private client wealth management since starting my career in the mid 1980's, and managing client investment portfolios since 1995 when I qualified as a Member of Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments (MCSI). I was appointed a divisional director at Investec when I joined the company in 2012, and often alongside my role I mentor a number of aspiring investment professions at Investec as they develop themselves and move to become fully qualified.
I have an interest in historic motor sport, travelling to SPA and Le Mans as well as attending events in the UK. I also sail and have a house in Fowey, Cornwall which allows ample boating and walking. I take an interest in horse racing and I am a 25% owner of horse managed by Paul and Olive Cole in Lambourn, West Berkshire. I also follow the modern British art market, covering paintings as well as sculpture from the 1950's and 60's.

At Investec we still have responsibility for both the administrative side, as well as the portfolio construction and asset allocation to a defined risk and objective requested by our clients. This ensures in depth knowledge of the individual shareholding and funds to ensure that client portfolios remain suitable at all times. We have an excellent suite of investments that cater to clients that are increasingly demanding ethical and environment considerations.
