About me

My role involves managing multi-asset portfolios and providing broader financial planning advice as part of our Wealth Planning service to a range of private clients and high net worth families. Focusing on each client’s unique situation I assist with portfolio construction, asset allocation and investment management, as well as considering relevant holding structures and tax efficient solutions for working towards pre-agreed long term goals. With families, this can often include strategies for ensuring that assets pass effectively and tax efficiently between generations over time. The strategy that is agreed upon is kept under regular review and adapted as individual circumstances and the investment environment evolve.

Background/Experience

I am one of a team of nine experienced wealth planners at Investec Wealth & Investment. I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI) and hold their Investment Advice Diploma in Financial Planning & Advice. I started my career in 1998 on the Zimbabwean stock exchange as a trainee dealer. I moved to the UK in 2000 where I initially worked on a private client fund management team at Charles Stanley before moving to Rensburg Sheppards, which ultimately became part of Investec Wealth & Investment. I therefore have extensive experience of dealing with the types of challenges that my clients can face and work closely with them to resolve those challenges.

My interests

I live with my wife and two children in Epsom. We enjoy most outdoor pursuits including walking the family dog. In particular, I am a keen tennis player, runner and cyclist.
