About me

I’m responsible for our Guernsey business. I specialise in managing the wealth of local and overseas high-net-worth clients, particularly those with offshore trust and company structures. I also sit on both our investment committee and alternative portfolio strategy committee.

Background/Experience

I have more than 30 years’ experience in private banking, wealth management and trust planning for wealthy clients. I spent 12 years at MeesPierson Investment Management (CI) Limited as a director, and was managing director of Havelet Asset Management Limited and director of Havelet Trust Company (International) Limited. Subsequently, I was executive director of Trust and Corporate services at the Leopold Joseph Private Bank in Guernsey. I joined Investec in Guernsey back in 2001.

Qualifications

I’m a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI) and a Member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners. I hold the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management and the Institute of Director’s Diploma in Company Direction. I’m also a former director of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, and a past president of the CISI’s Guernsey branch. I’m also a Fellow of the Institute of Directors.

My interests

I have a fourth-degree black belt in karate, having practiced martial arts for more than 35 years. I’m also an enthusiast skier and mountain biker, a percussionist, pianist and speak good conversational French and German.
