About me
As a dedicated investment professional, my unwavering commitment is to maintain portfolios at the highest possible standard, aligning them meticulously with clients' risk profiles, objectives, and time frames. To achieve this, I work closely with a team of investment professionals based in our Edinburgh office, all of whom share my passion for delivering on client investment objectives. My paramount focus revolves around catering to my clients' investment needs while keeping a keen eye on their broader financial circumstances and objectives. I assume day-to-day responsibility for the management of their investments, considering their risk tolerance alongside their investment goals to craft a bespoke investment strategy that precisely suits their requirements, all while adhering to agreed-upon parameters. This is underpinned by strong relationships and close collaboration with clients and their advisors. My responsibilities span a diverse clientele, encompassing individuals, pension funds, trusts, and several charitable accounts.
Background/Experience
After studying Economics, I began my career as an investment analyst with a boutique investment management firm before returning to Edinburgh to advise on equity and fixed income investments for several institutions. I joined Murray Asset Management as an Investment Manager and, following its recent acquisition, became a Senior Investment Director with Investec Wealth & Investments. With over 25 years of experience, I am a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and a Chartered Wealth Manager.
My interests
Outside of work, I am an avid tennis player, skier, cyclist, and mountain biker. I also enjoy playing several musical instruments - some more competently than others! Most importantly, I cherish time spent with my family and Tula, our Border Collie.
