Mauritius Coronavirus Update
Lockdown Extended 1 June 2020
Dear Valued Client,
The Prime Minister of Mauritius has announced on Friday 1 May 2020 that the Lockdown Period will be extended until 1 June 2020. However, a partial de-confinement will be implemented as from 15 May 2020. We continue to be fully operational to deliver banking services to our clients despite the announcement.
We will endeavor to process for same day value all manual and online payment instructions received by 14h30 Mauritian time, subject to country specific cut-off times. We urge you to provide us with all payment instructions well in advance and to use our online banking services as far as possible as opposed to sending us manual instructions.
Given the potential increase of fraud attempts, only urgent and essential mandate changes will be processed during this period. We therefore request you to delay all non-essential updates to existing mandates.
We would also like to please request that all clients refrain from sending documents to our offices via post or courier during this period of confinement.
In order for us to ensure that we execute your instructions please ensure you communicate with your banker via email or on the direct lines listed below. If you call our general office number (+230 207 4000), you will be directed to our Client Support Centre who will direct you to your banker.
