Earn 1.5 Rewards points
Normally you earn one Rewards point for every R5 you spend on your Investec Visa card. If you book and pay for travel through Investec Travel, you earn half a point more! So, you’re even closer to booking even more travel.
Redeem Rewards points
At Investec Travel, you are able to redeem your Rewards points at a better rate. For every 5 000 Rewards points you redeem, you will get R250 to spend. That’s 1.5 times more than if you redeemed your points at a shopping, lifestyle or charity partner.
You can use your points to pay in full, or reduce, the cost of your travel for holiday packages, flights, accommodation, car hire and travel insurance. You can even use your points to pay for airport taxes.
How it works
If you want to redeem your Rewards points for your Investec Travel booking, you have to use your Investec Visa card to pay the full amount. Your Rewards points redemption is then refunded into your Investec Private Bank Account retrospectively.
This means you’ll also earn Rewards points on your booking while you’re redeeming points towards the same trip.
For example, if you want to redeem your Rewards points to cover the cost of a trip worth R50 000, you will need to pay for your trip with your Investec Visa card first (which will earn 10 000 Rewards points - R500). Thereafter, the redemption amount will be refunded into your Investec Private Bank Account 48 hours later. If you do not have enough Rewards points to cover the full cost of travel, you may redeem any number of your Rewards points in increments of 5 000 points to cover partial costs of the trip.
