Multicurrency pockets are an innovative feature on your Private Bank Account that allows you to seamlessly transact in dollars, pounds and euros using your physical and virtual Investec Visa card.
Simply add currency pockets to your account and fund them directly from your Private Bank Account. You can fund at any time and store funds in the pockets until you’re ready to use them.
When making a purchase, your card uses Intelligent Routing™ to select the correct pocket based on the source currency of your transaction.

How currency pockets work
To add a currency pocket, log into Investec Online or the App, select your Private Bank Account and the currency pocket/s you want to add.
Fund your pockets directly from your Private Bank Account.
When making a card purchase, in-store or online, Intelligent Routing™ will automatically select the pocket based on the source currency of your purchase. If there aren’t sufficient funds available in that pocket, Intelligent Routing™ will automatically fund the purchase from your rand balance - doing the thinking for you.
The Intelligent Routing™ toggle gives you the option to either use your funds for daily transactions or keep the funds for a specific purpose like an overseas holiday.
