Young professionals revolution hands up in the air

Will you put your hand up this Human Rights Day?

The challenge is simple – build a business idea for a basic bike that will potentially lift someone out of poverty.

And the opportunity is out of the ordinary – network with peers, access mentors and make a difference in the lives of others in just 18 hours.

The revolution starts with you crowd

If you’ve ever wanted to be part of social change, then Investec Private Banking presents a not-to-be-missed opportunity for young professionals in Gauteng to mark Human Rights Day 2019.  In a single event, we hope to empower small business owners with new utility bikes, great business ideas and, potentially, a better future.

We call it the Young Professionals Revolution and it’s a shout out for the dreamers and the doers to join us. It’s a call for the talented, who can envision real change in real-time, to come together and make a small but significant difference in the lives other.  And your ideas, your drive could be the catalyst for change.

What is it about?

We will carefully choose over 200 young professionals from a list of online entries.  If your entry is chosen, you will be part of an exciting event hosted by Investec Private Banking on 20 and 21 March 2019.

You will be placed in teams of other young professionals. In just 18 hours, your challenge will be to build an idea for a small business that could run on a basic utility bicycle.  We believe the initiative will potentially lift someone out of poverty.
More than that, we also believe the revolution for positive change starts with young professionals who are not content with the status quo – but who want to leave the world a better place for others.

A humble bike can make a huge difference

For this event, Investec Private Banking in Sandton will be working with Qhubeka™, a not-for-profit organisation that donates bicycles through fundraising events and enke, an organisation whose projects empower and support South African youth.

Please note: Entry for March 2019 event has now closed. Please subscribe to our Ahead of the curve newsletter and keep an eye on the website for the next exciting event in your city.
