HOW IT WORKS
Purchase your eSIM and data package
- Search for a destination – enter the country or region you are travelling to
- Select a plan that suits your needs (from 1GB to 20GB) – purchase top-up data at any time
- Check that your device supports eSIM technology
- Use your Investec Visa card to make payment
Install your eSIM on your chosen device
- Select ‘My eSIMs’ on the ‘Account’ page
- Click ‘Install now’
- Choose your preferred installation method (direct − iOS devices only), QR code or manual setup)
- Go to your device’s ‘Settings’ and follow the step-by-step instructions
NOTE: Installation steps vary depending on your device’s operating system (iOS or Android)
Connect your eSIM to the local network and activate your plan
- Go to ‘Cellular’ or ‘Mobile’ under your device ‘Settings’
- Select your eSIM
- Toggle ‘Turn on this line’ to enable the eSIM
- Switch on ‘Data Roaming’ for your eSIM
- Remember to turn off data roaming on your home SIM to avoid roaming charges
Set up before you travel
Purchase and install your eSIM on your device before you arrive. You don’t need to wait to purchase a SIM card on arrival.
Keep your home SIM active
There’s no need to swap out your physical SIM card. You can keep your home SIM active for SMSs and phone calls.
Instantly connect when you arrive
Instantly connect your data plan to the local network when you arrive and avoid roaming charges.
Multiple plans on one device
You can store multiple eSIMs on one device or add data plans for multiple destinations to the same eSIM (if compatible).
Top-up anytime
Track your data usage in the InTransit app and purchase top-up data at any time. Data is instantly added to the installed eSIM.
Share connectivity
You can also purchase eSIMs for your friends and family. It’s a convenient way to keep everyone connected while they’re travelling.
