    By investing in this product you will have access to the following benefits:

    • Liquidity in rand: the product can be held to maturity or sold on the secondary market via the JSE during normal trading hours
    • Ease of transacting: being listed and traded on the JSE allows for easy access and daily pricing via your stockbroking account
    • Convenient offshore exposure: being inward-listed on the JSE means foreign investment allowance is not used for corporate and individual investors.
  • What is the return?

    • Performance of the USD 
    • Provides you with an interest return in USD, accrued on a daily basis at the USD 1 month LIBOR rate less 0.10% in addition to USD exposure for the nominal value
    • USD interest accrued over the term of the investment compounded monthly and paid to you on an annual basis, settled in rands at the prevailing exchange rate.
  • The IBLUSD is suitable if:

    • You want an investment that provides exposure to the USD, as well as a LIBOR based interest return in USD, settled in rand
    • You do not seek a guaranteed return in rand of your principal investment amount, and are willing to accept potential loss of some or all of your investment
    • You are willing to invest in an unsecured uncollateralised note and assume credit risk on Investec.
  • How will the IBLUSD be valued?

    Each Investec USD ETN has a Nominal Amount of $100. In addition, interest accrued since the previous Interest Payment Date will be included in the value of each Investec USD ETN.

  • How to invest

    The Investec USD ETN is inward listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange Limited (“JSE”) providing you with convenient access via your stockbroking account. Simply trade online or call your Stockbroker. There are no fees levied when investing in the Investec USD ETN, however brokerage may be payable as specified by your stockbroker.
