Terms and Conditions

1.1) This competition is sponsored by Investec Bank Limited (“Investec”“).

1.2) By entering the competition you agree to the rules of this competition as set out below
 

1.3) There are no entry fees to participate in this competition

2.1) The competition runs in South Africa from 1 September to 30 November 2018.

3.1) To enter this competition, you need subscribe to the Investec Young Professional newsletter where you will be prompted to provide to Investec your relevant contact details, including but not limited to, your name, surname, email address, and level of qualification. No refund may be claimed from Investec for expenses related to the use of an Internet connection for the purpose of participating in the competition

3.2) Investec shall not be responsible for those entries that are not received for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to communications or network failures

4.1) You must be a natural person resident in the Republic of South Africa and 18 years or older

4.2) The competition is not open to Investec employees or contractors or a family member of an Investec employee or contractor

4.3) Entrants will only be allowed one entry

5.1) The prize is provided by Investec and will be awarded to the winner.

5.2) There is only one prize to be awarded to one winner

5.3) The prize includes a Travel by Investec travel voucher to the value of R10 000 (ten thousand rand only). Note that vouchers are only valid for three years from the date which they are issued.

5.4) The prize is not transferrable and may not be deferred, changed or redeemed for cash or any other item

6.1) Winners will be selected through a random draw by an independent attorney or auditor appointed by Investec (the judge) which will take place on 10 December 2018. We will communicate to the winner within two weeks following the draw.

6.2) The draw is final and no correspondence will be entered into with an entrant other than with the winner

6.3) If the winner cannot be contacted such winner will forfeit his/her prize and Investec reserves the right to select a new winner by way of another draw.

6.4) Once the winner has been contacted by Investec, the winner will have 2 days within which to accept the prize. If the winner does not accept the prize, Investec reserves the right to select a new winner by way of another draw at a later stage.

6.5) The winner agrees to be featured in Investec publications announcing the winner of the competition.

7.1) Investec reserves the right to amend the rules of the competition or to withdraw the competition at any time if circumstances beyond its control make this unavoidable.

7.2) These terms and conditions are governed by South African law. The competition is regulated by the Consumer Protection Act, 68 of 2008 (the “CPA“). It is not intended that any provision of these terms and conditions contravene any provision of the CPA and therefore all provisions of these terms and conditions must be treated as being qualified, if necessary, to ensure that the provisions of the CPA are complied with.

7.3) By entering this competition, you agree to all these competition terms and conditions without exception.
