Do you meet the criteria for Private Banking as a young professional?
You may qualify for a reduced Private Bank Account fee for young professionals – if you are under the age of 30, consistently earning more than R600 000 a year, with a university degree and working in your area of expertise. Keep in mind, you may also qualify if you meet the criteria for the following careers and are under the age of 30. |

Actuary | If you are an actuary who has passed 10 of the qualifying exams, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Attorney | If you are a candidate attorney, working at a recognised legal firm and earn between R300 000 and R550 00 a year, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Chartered Account | If you are a trainee CA, with a CTA and working at a SAICA-approved firm, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Engineer | If you are an engineer, working at a recognised and preferred engineering firm and earn R600 000 a year, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Entrepreneur | If you are an established and successful entrepreneur, or own a professional practice or business and can show a three-year track record of earnings, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Medical intern | If you are a medical intern or working in community service for the Department of Health and earn R600 000 a year, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Medical specialist | If you are a medical specialist or registrar working towards becoming a specialist, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |
Pilot | If you are a pilot or first officer working for SAA or Comair, and earn more than R600 000 a year, you may qualify for a Private Bank Account for young professionals at a reduced fee until you turn 30 years of age. |

Private Bank Account fees
You pay one transparent fee of R295 until you turn 30 years of age – which is subject to annual increases (however, you will not pay the full Private Bank Account fee until you turn 30).

We consolidate all your daily transactional banking into one account with one Visa platinum credit card and a single transparent monthly fee. No annual or credit facility fees apply.
Banking home loans
