Head of Investec Cash Investments
I currently lead Investec Cash Investments, a division of Investec Bank, offering cash solutions to three key markets namely individuals, intermediaries (financial intermediaries and money managers) and small businesses. This includes responsibility for the product, pricing, marketing, operations, and sales and client engagement activities of our Corporate Cash Manager, Business Cash Solutions and Personal Cash Investments business areas.
I joined the Investec Group in 2009 as Director of Investec Asset Management (IAM) responsible for the inception and leadership of IAM’s SA Corporate business. I was also head of the Retail unit trust business at IAM from 2011 to 2012, leading a team responsible for sales, marketing and investment support to retail distribution channels and intermediaries.
I obtained my CA (SA) qualification in 2002, completed my articles with Deloitte & Touche’s Financial Services Team and subsequently attained my Masters Degree in Commerce M.Com at RAU.
What drives me
I am passionate about helping people grow their wealth and understand the implications of financial decisions. In my current role, it is my intention through a number of Investec’s initiatives, to provide practical education and insights that will be valuable to the average saver. I feel very privileged to have partnered with Prof. Adrian Saville from GIBS to create the first Savings Index in South Africa.
I have many interests including reading, cycling, running, golf and swimming. My family is a very important part of my life and I share as many of these activities as possible with my children and my husband. One of the most exciting sporting events I have completed was the Iron Man 70.3 in Durban. I enjoyed the challenge and training with my husband and felt an immense sense of accomplishment when I finally completed it.
