Meet our real estate team

I began my Investec career in 2006, working in Property Finance as a loan originator, after having spent 12 years at Singer & Friedlander Plc where I had been a Credit Officer with responsibility for Real Estate. During my time at Investec, I have had the opportunity to work in several teams, including Treasury and Corporate, and in both loan origination and recoveries within Property Finance. In 2012, I played a pivotal role in repositioning Investec as a senior debt lender in the Real Estate market, with a particular focus on lending to Corporates and Funds. This ultimately led to the establishment and leadership of Investec’s Corporate Real Estate team. In recognition of my contribution to the firm, I was promoted to Head of Investec Real Estate in 2020. I am now responsible for all Real Estate funding, including over £2.5 billion of loan assets. In 2022, I took the initiative of establishing the new Real Estate distribution team, with a mandate to access partner capital across Syndication, Debt funds, and Equity Investment in Investec’s core specialisms of industrial, residential, student accommodation, and office repositioning.

I have worked at Investec for 23 years having previously qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at CBRE and worked for an AIM listed Property Company. At Investec I have run the proprietorial property investment division, the UK Recovery team and the Private Client lending team. My focus is now in business development for our various lending divisions and REALIS, our newly formed Equity investment vehicle.

Having completed a Bachelors in Business Science (Finance and Accounting) and Post Graduate qualification in Accounting at the University of Cape Town, I joined Investec’s Johannesburg office in 2012 as part of its Chartered Accountant (CA) Programme.

On qualification as a CA, I joined the Real Estate team in the UK, managing and originating a large portfolio of key clients across multiple real estate sectors, including student accommodation, residential for sale, industrial and logistics.

After a sabbatical to complete an MBA from Columbia Business School, I’ve returned to Investec and will be actively working with clients and originating new lending opportunities.

Jonathan is currently Head of Corporate Real Estate lending responsible for over £1bn of loan assets, and specialises in providing debt finance for PBSA, residential and industrial projects. He has worked at Investec for 8 years having previously qualified as a Chartered Accountant at EY. He has 11 years of real estate experience and works across both the development and investment space.

I joined Investec in 2022 after 15 years' experience in the Syndication market across London and Singapore. I'm responsible for all things Syndication related within the Structured Property Finance team. This involves working with potential funding partners for everything from club facilities to placing debt underwritten by Investec.

I joined Investec in 2022, as part of the Banks new Origination & Distribution Team, specialising in origination with an underwriting mandate, in amounts from £40m to £150m, with a specific focus on student accommodation, PRS/BTR, Office and Industrial sectors. I have 35 years of banking experience with a specific focus on Real Estate for the last 20 years. I have developed extensive experience within several banks in development and investment lending, more recently with NatWest where I spent 11 years of my career.

Yon joined Investec in 2022 to design and lead Investec REALIS’s strategy. Prior to Investec, he spent 7 years at TwentyTwo Real Estate, an independent real estate investment firm, where he lead the investment team. During his tenure, he was actively involved in growing the platform to €4.5 billion of assets under management. Prior to TwentyTwo Real Estate, he was Investment Manager at the TT Group, UK’s largest privately owned property investment and development firm with a £9bn portfolio value, where he focused on acquisitions and corporate finance transactions. Yon has been involved in over £2 billion of transactions in various real estate sectors across the capital spectrum.

I joined Investec’s Structured Property Finance Origination team in 2016. My main responsibilities are originating, creating and managing new transactions and structuring bespoke financing solutions for our clients.

I began my career at Investec in 1999, working in Structured Property Finance as a loan originator. I provide bespoke funding solutions across the debt stack for experienced property entrepreneurs in London and prime UK locations. I have experience in development and investment across a number of sectors including residential, retail, offices, student accommodation and planning.

I joined Investec Structured Property Finance in 2014 to focus on senior debt real estate opportunities within the origination team.

I have been with Investec for 18 years, of which 15 years have been in Real Estate lending team. I focus on structuring and executing funding solutions for Private Clients, as well as manage a portfolio of existing transactions across multiple property sectors in prime UK locations.

I have over a decade of structured lending experience, predominately in Real Estate and joined Investec in 2017. I am responsible for both the origination and on-going management of a large portfolio of investment and development deals across the UK. I work across both Edinburgh and London offices.

I joined Investec in London at the end of 2019, where I worked in the Private Bank for 2 years before moving into the Real Estate Finance Team. I focus on analysing and supporting new Development and Investment business, whilst contributing to the management of existing portfolios.

I joined the Real Estate team in 2020 from Group Finance at Investec. My current role is to assist and facilitate new business as well as management of existing deals across all real estate asset classes. I am a Chartered Accountant and graduated from Newcastle University with an honours degree in Accounting and Finance.

As part of the Deal Origination Team within Structured Property Finance, I’m responsible for structuring and executing new transactions as well as managing the existing portfolio.

I have 10+ years of banking experience, joining Investec from Barclays mid-2022. I have worked within Real Estate finance for the past 8 years, across a broad range of residential and commercial subsectors. My role as an Originator in the Structured Property Finance Team team is to generate new business, along with the responsibility for a portfolio of key clients and exposures.

As an Originator, I am responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing new transactions in the investment, value-add and development space across a broad spectrum of both core and alternative real asset classes. I have 11 years of banking experience, 9 of which have been spent working within real estate and joined Investec in September 2016. I am a graduate of the University of Bristol holding a BSc in Economics & Politics and an MA in Law.

My role in the Structured Property Finance team is to provide tailored debt solutions in both the development and investment space (focusing on commercial, residential, mixed-use and purpose-built student accommodation) as well as managing an existing portfolio of corporate clients.

I joined Investec in February 2023. I moved from Barclays Bank where I had in excess of 10 years experience including over 5 years in the Real Estate finance team as a debt structurer and relationship director across both the residential and commercial sub-sectors. At Investec, my role in the Real Estate Finance team will involve supporting and growing my existing portfolio, alongside generating new business and opportunities.

Having been with Investec since 2017 my role is to design and deliver bespoke debt solutions to our new and existing corporate clients across investment and development focussing on commercial, student and residential asset classes. I hold a Fellowship to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) having been admitted to membership in 2013.

After graduating from London School of Economics in Actuarial Science, Jun started her career in BNP Paribas before joining Investec in 2022.

After graduating from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelors in Business Science (Finance and Accounting) Degree and a Post Graduate in Accounting, I joined Investec in 2019 as part of its Chartered Accountant (CA) Programme in Johannesburg. Upon completion of this three year programme, I joined the Real Estate team in London at the start of 2022.

After graduating from the University of Cape Town with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Science (Finance and Accounting) and a Post-Graduate in Accounting, I joined Deloitte in London in 2019 as part of its Chartered Accountant (CA) Programme. Upon qualifying as a CA, I joined the Real Estate team at Investec in 2022. I primarily support the origination of new business through analysis of Development and Investment lending opportunities across a range of real estate asset classes, as well assisting in the continued management of existing portfolios.

I joined the Investec Real Estate team in January 2024, moving across from Lloyds Bank where I spent three and half years. My role is to work on sourcing, structuring and executing new transactions with corporate clients as well supporting in the management of the existing portfolio of loans. I am a graduate of the University of Nottingham and hold first class honours in BSc Finance, Accounting and Management.

I joined Investec in 2025 after graduating from the University of Cambridge with a bachelor’s degree in Land Economy. I support the origination of new opportunities and management of the existing loan book.

Joined Investec in 2025, as part of the expansion of Origination & Distribution (O&D) Team. Prior to this, I spent 10 years within UK Real Estate acting as the borrower/equity within AIFMs, REPEs, REITs and Large Corporates. I hold a degree in Mathematics from University of Oxford, and I am a CFA charterholder.

I joined Investec in 2022 after 15 years' experience in the Syndication market across London and Singapore. I'm responsible for all things Syndication related within the Structured Property Finance team. This involves working with potential funding partners for everything from club facilities to placing debt underwritten by Investec.

As part of the Funding Team in Structured Property Finance, I help with the syndication & structuring of SPF originated property loans as well as the portfolio and balance sheet management of the retained loan book.

I first joined the Real Estate Team at Investec in 2021 as an intern. I returned to the team at the end of 2022, after graduating from the University of Oxford with a bachelor’s degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics. My role is to support the origination of new lending opportunities and assist with the management of existing deals.

I joined the South African Real Estate team in 2017 and moved over to the London team in 2021. My main responsibilities include the structuring, execution and management of Private Client real estate transactions across various sectors.

I joined Investec in 2023 to work on the Realis strategy bringing over 8 years of broad real estate experience across all core asset classes. My role is principally focussed on sourcing new opportunities, executing transactions, and working with operating partners to maximise value of assets under management.

My role involves in assisting with the structuring of the REALIS strategy as well as analysing new equity deal opportunities. I joined the team in 2024, after 2 years of rotating through various teams as part of Investec's Chartered Accountancy program, including Private Capital, Property and Private Debt teams. I graduated from the University of Cape Town with a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a Honours in Finance.
