We were delighted to recently to participate in the Dorset Business Angels (DBA) A-Z of Angel Investing virtual event.  This event was part of the DBA’s initiative to encourage more women into angel investing and was hosted by CEO Jenny Tooth OBE.

Of the event, our Financial Planning Director, Amanda Cook, had this to say: “It was such a pleasure to be part of this event and hear from Jenny and Bridget, they are both fascinating to listen to”.

Amanda joined the panel and explained how Financial Planning at Investec aligns your needs, values and personal goals with every aspect of your finances to give a complete picture of where you are, and where you can get to in the future.

Hannah Dampney, Senior Investment Director, also joined to discuss how she works with Financial Planners to take into consideration a complete financial situation to tailor a bespoke portfolio to meet clients exact, yet flexible, requirements and attitude to risk. If you are, or are looking to become an Angel Investor, Hannah explained how that will be allowed for when constructing your portfolio.

Hannah had this to say about the A-Z event “We find, women are not necessarily risk adverse but risk aware, seeking information and guidance to make informed, important decisions.  We were pleased to be able to contribute, together with other trusted advisers, to demonstrate how we are able to support our clients, to help make important financial decisions.”
