Investec is proud to have sponsored The Everyman Theatre’s new show this summer which aims to help children learn about the importance of looking after the environment. Zeb & Cat Save the World was ever popular on its tour throughout July for its light-hearted and entertaining look at environmental and wildlife issues.

The play was produced as part of the annual Library Service National Summer Reading Challenge, which encourages children and their families to visit their local libraries to read as many books as possible throughout the school holidays.

The tour saw 378 people in total join the audience to listen and learn as the cast and puppets visited libraries throughout the county for six informal meet and greet sessions. One show was even hosted at Gloucestershire Wildlife Trust HQ which was a fantastic setting for children to learn more about the environment.

Everyman Theatre Community Arts Manager, Camille Cowe, explained: 

"It's so great when your work and your passions come together.  I am very passionate about saving the environment so I was so thrilled to be able to write this play and hopefully not only entertain Gloucestershire's children but also enthuse them about wildlife and what they can do to try to protect it."
